Why both
The paintings are where the borders are born. Design is where they travel. Same colours, same hand, same Sydney kitchen table it all started on.
About
Painter first. She grew up around saints and crosses, then painted a tennis court from above and wrapped it in the kind of border you find on a Lebanese tile, and a series was born.
She's studying design and learning to make dresses, and the borders are becoming prints. The art pays for the fabric. The design is where it goes next.
